Unusual Spam
I received this spam e-mail this morning and thought it was rather unusual.
Hello,
Browsing on the Internet I came upon your website ($name) and I find it very interesting and useful.
My name is Daniel Lee and the reason I am contacting you is my interest in purchasing advertising spot on your site.
I will be very thankful if you tell me how much a text link or banner 120×60 / 125×125 on your home page or all pages will cost.Thank you in advance!

In the first place, the guy obviously needs to fix his script - LOL. $name indeed!
In the second place, why would someone spam you saying they want to buy advertising on your website?
Very odd indeed!

I have gotten the same email off of one of my sites. I think it is from someone with a directory because that is the only thing I did to promote that site.

That's certainly possible because I do remember last year submitting this blog to about 300 directories.
