Twitter - What a Waste of Time!

I’ll admit it. I am not a fan of Twitter. I think that, like Instant Messaging, it is a total waste of your time and resources.
There are some people who claim that you can linkbait idees, breaking stories, and general topics you might never think about.
They would have you believe that you should follow the twitters of hundreds of people. What an absolute utter waste of time.
Let’s say that you do follow a bunch of people. Since twitterers (is that a word?) twitter all day long, you’ve got to check it multiple times each day.
One hundred and forty characters is all you get to twitter in. So you’ll be reading tons of ‘I’m at lunch right now at Olive Garden’ or some other noise filled in with the occasional semi-ok twitter in which you’ll find out something interesting.
But - no - it won’t give you enough information to actually be useful. It’ll just be a snippet of information that you’ll then have to go out and research more on.
Twitter is an interruption to your day. I suppose that it might appeal to the younger - give it to me now - generation. But, in general, it’s a waste of time.
Never let it be said, however, that I don’t provide something useful for you. If you believe that Twitter is the greatest thing since sliced bread and want to follow lots of people there, by all means, take a look at this comprehensive list of Internet Marketers.
The people on it range in skill sets from Social Media Experts, Search Optimization Experts, Search Marketing Experts, and other general Internet Marketing Gurus.
