While they might sound like a great idea, AWeber has some great points about NOT sending them out.

Basically it all comes down to not overloading your customer list with useless drivel that they have to read.

In my opinion, if you’re using an autoresponder like AWeber (which you should be) then you should always give out useful content in your e-mails and make sure that they aren’t just marketing messages.
