Is Kontera Making Your Site Load Slower?

Randy Brown has a good post about how Kontera is not performing as well as it used to.

This is something that I noticed recently as well. First with the very low earnings produced from this blog as well as my MFA sites.

Now, the MFA sites it’s understandable how they perform rather poorly because of the way that I suspect that Kontera generates the contextual links.

I believe what they do is put your site into a specific category and then you get ads related to that category. Well, that’s great and wonderful when you have one or two sites but it totally sucks when you have hundreds or even thousands of sites.

In addition to the low earnings from Kontera there has also been the problem of the pages loading very slowly.

I solved my problem last week by removing Kontera from my blog. It was only generating a couple bucks a day anyhow.
