Google to Start Selling Ads in Video Games
That’s the headline you might see on the major news sites soon. There is a rumored buyout of the Half-Life Creater Valve.
Every site I’ve read today, at first glance, thinks this is an unusual move by Google.
They usually go on to explain that, perhaps, this is a ploy to get the best digital content distribution service out there.
What most are neglecting, I believe, is that Google - for all intents and purposes - is an ad company.
They want to sell more ads.
What better way to do it than through games?
Sure, they might actually want the digital content distribution but my best guess, if the rumor is true, is that they’re doing it to start an effort towards ad distribution in games.

Well it's already done by vavle, if your sitting around in CT spawn you'll see, so I guess it makes sense..

Google, please stay away from our precious MMORPGS. Maybe, just maybe, halflife would be ok, put for god's sake, i'm begging you - stay away from warcaraft and FFXI!
