From Under 1% CTR to Over 10% CTR - In 3 Hours!

Today I’m going to show you how to increase your CTR in Google Adwords from under 1% to over 10%. The fun part about this is that you can do this in less than 3 hours!

Before I do that, however, I need to tell you a related story…

I happen to have two brothers who were seperated from me when I was about 4 years old. All of us went through several homes and were eventually adopted into different families.

As you may or may not know, the adoption process here in the United States is rather strict. So strict, in fact, that the court records are sealed.

Of course, if you’ve been adopted and you want to find your birth-family, this can make doing so a very arduous process!

Well, back in 1997/98 I decided to find my birth family. I was lucky enough to be able to do so in a matter of three months.

An interesting sidenote is that me and my brothers were all born in Los Angeles California. When I found one of my brothers, he was living in the same city as me (Atlanta, Georgia) over 3000 miles away from our birthplace! Life can be funny that way sometimes.

At any rate, my brother is an interior designer/architect. He designs houses for a living which is pretty cool because I will get my multi-million dollar home designed for free

He has very little computer experience and when I showed him some arbitrage stuff with Google Adwords, he had zero experience with it.

I let him play around with it and he tweaked his ads a little getting them to go up form .10% CTR to about .75% CTR. That’s not too bad when you’ve got keywords that get millions of impressions but for keywords that don’t get nearly so many, it can kinda suck!

One day we were talking and he asked me if there was any way that I could help him improve his CTR more. I told him I knew of a program that could do it but I really couldn’t explain how it worked.

Note: I didn’t want to explain the mechanics of how the program worked because I didn’t want to distract him from what it could do for his CTR. I’d already tested the program (like some very well known copywriters).

Anyway, I told him all he would need to do is put his ad into a text box and click score. Change a few words, click score. Rinse wash repeat until he had a score of over 400 or more.

Like a good baby brother, he followed my advice. It took him about 30 minutes to an hour to find an ad that scored well. Once he uploaded it into Google Adwords, he saw his CTR jump from .75% to 11.35% in less than three hours.

The cool thing is he’s been able to repeat the process, over and over, for dozens of other keywords.

His total return on the arbitrage campaign has gone from around a 50% return to over 200%!!!

Needless to say, I’m very proud of him.
