Eclipse Dependencies

For the past several weeks I’ve been working on a new project.

Release should be in about 6 weeks or so and we’ve just entered beta testing.

For this particular project, I decided to use Adobe Flex 3.0.

When I started using the beta version of Adobe Flex 3, I was introduced to Eclipse.

For those of you who aren’t in the know, Eclipse is an open source development platform with a megaton of features.

However, it has one annoying flaw. If you want to get updates, you have to figure out all kinds of dependencies.

Well, I just stumbled across this site called Yoxos on Demand.

It has hundreds of plugins that can be used with Eclipse. The fantastic thing about this site, however, is that it resolves all the dependencies for you and creates a zip file that you can download and import into Eclipse.

Very cool stuff.

Anyhow, be on the lookout for some very cool projects coming out soon
