Are You Missing Out on A Way to Make Your Free Reports Viral?

We’ve all seen the typical squeeze page at this point. A squeeze page, of course, is one that requires you to enter your name and/or email address before getting something.

Typically, marketers will use this to build their list so that they can send you product announcements, product recommendations or even free valuable information.

I came across a technique that I had not seen used before that is rather interesting.

You get to this page as soon as you’ve entered your name and e-mail address. What is unique about this page is that you’re offered more free information than just the report.

In addition to the report you’re offered several reports that are lists of various affiliate marketing sites. As a sidenote, I was rather underwhelmed with the reports - they’re simply one page lists with 20-30 items on each one.

But what makes this page interesting is to get the additional free information you have to enter 3 names and e-mail addresses. Of course you can spoof it (like I did below) but, ostensibly, if you do enter the information, the free report becomes viral.

It’s a great technique and one I think I might use in the future.
